I recently saw an article about Trench Town getting massive bookings through Airbnb (AWESOMENESS!!).
I love that technology is providing the islanders with some form of earnings and its not just going to the pockets of the already wealthy, but within the article, the government is planning to meet to discuss how to tax people through the airbnb app.
Why not tax the damn carnival costumes!
Have you seen the cost of one flimsy swimsuit looking costumes that have on those china made less than 1US$ pack of rhinestone!?! ( No offence to the makers).
There is no problem with Jamaicans gallivanting to carnival music dressed half naked and plastered all over our local stations and social media but our dancehall music is condemned, cannot even grace the covers of our own directory LOL! Reggae barely play on the radio ! ( I am certain many foreigners listen for our music but they hear only their garbage on repeat!)

The point is the government needs to stop jumping at things that are bringing in the tourists and actually use their brain!
So many parliamentarian members with big mouths but no mental backing, if you need help on how to manage the country then just contact the first social media-popular comedian and let them ask the people!
That is if you are not as popular as Lisa Hanna on social media …….
